# AlMasjidi (مسجدی) > Free app with the azan and jamaat (iqama) times your mosque actually sets: azan alerts, a reminder before jamaat, mosque announcements and Qibla. For mosques worldwide. No ads. Most prayer apps calculate the azan time. Your jamaat starts when your mosque decides. AlMasjidi shows the azan and jamaat times your mosque sets itself — with an azan alert, a reminder before jamaat and every announcement from your imam. ## Key facts - Product: AlMasjidi, a mobile app and website (https://almasjidi.com) that shows the azan and jamaat (iqama) prayer times published by each mosque itself, with azan alerts, a reminder before jamaat, mosque announcements, a Qibla compass and a QR poster for every mosque. Slogan: "My Mosque, My Prayer" (Urdu: میری مسجد، میری نماز). - Platforms: Android (Google Play listing coming soon, package com.almasjidi.app); iPhone coming soon. Every mosque also has a public web page with its live timetable at https://almasjidi.com/mosque/{slug}. - Countries: mosques worldwide, with new countries being added. Calculated prayer times and the Qibla compass work anywhere. - Price: free with no ads for worshippers and for mosques. The only paid part is the optional Mosque Committee (accounts book + private chat): 30 days free, then $24 (US dollars) per year, the same for every mosque in every country (local payment methods charge the same amount in local currency at the day's rate), 12 months prepaid, no automatic renewal, paid on https://almasjidi.com/renew (never inside the app). - Languages (18): English, Urdu, Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Malay, Turkish, Persian, French, Russian, Uzbek, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Pashto, Swahili, Hausa and Somali. The prayer board itself is always Arabic + English. - Azan time sources, in order: (1) the time the mosque publishes; (2) the city's official or trusted published calendar where one exists (6266 cities so far); (3) a calculation calibrated against official times from 65 countries (1004 of 1351 official values exact, 1280 within one minute). The board names its source. - Mosque claims: an imam or admin claims a mosque by being there (phone location within 250 m, accurate to 150 m); no ID card or documents. New admins have a 3-day probation. - Privacy: no ads, no third-party analytics or trackers, no account needed (Google or Apple sign-in is optional). Location is used only to list nearby mosques and work out prayer times. - Contact: info@almasjidi.com ## Features - Your mosque’s real times: Azan and jamaat times entered by the mosque itself, including Jumu’ah with more than one jamaat and the khutbah time. - Azan alert at prayer time: A full alert at each prayer, even without internet. Switch each prayer on or off. - Reminder before jamaat: A nudge 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes before the jamaat, chosen for each prayer, so you never miss the takbeer. - Your mosque’s own azan: When your mosque uploads its recording you hear your own muezzin, with a separate azan for Fajr. - Silence your phone at iqama: When the imam taps “Iqama started”, you get an alert with a Silence phone button. One tap and no ringing in the prayer hall. - Time changes, scheduled: The mosque sets new times in advance. The board shows “Asr → 4:15 from 1 Nov” and switches by itself. - Mosque announcements: Eid prayer, taraweeh, janazah, a dars: straight from your imam to your phone. - Scan the QR, follow the mosque: Every mosque gets a printable QR poster. Yes. Prayer and jamaat times, azan alerts, reminders, announcements, Qibla and the mosque QR poster are free, with no ads. The only paid part is the optional Mosque Committee (accounts and chat) for mosque committees. ### How is AlMasjidi different from other prayer time apps? Other apps calculate the azan time for your location. AlMasjidi shows the jamaat time your mosque actually keeps, published by the mosque itself, and reminds you before it starts. ### Where do the azan times come from? In this order: the time your mosque publishes; otherwise your city’s official published calendar; otherwise a calculation checked against official times. The board names the source. ### Which countries does AlMasjidi cover? Mosques around the world, with new countries being added. Calculated prayer times and the Qibla compass work anywhere. ### Do I need an account? No. The app works fully as a guest. Sign in with Google or Apple only if you manage a mosque, or to keep your mosques when you change phones. ### Does it work without internet? Yes. Your mosque’s times are saved on the phone, alerts are scheduled on the phone and the Qibla compass works offline. Internet is needed only to receive changes and announcements. ### Is there an iPhone app? Android comes first and the iPhone app is coming soon. Every mosque also has a web page with its live timetable that opens on any phone. ### My mosque is not in the app. What can I do? Ask your imam or a mosque admin to claim it; it takes a few minutes. If the mosque is missing altogether, anyone standing at it can add it with a photo. Until then the app shows prayer times for your area. ### Can I hear my own mosque’s azan? Yes, once the mosque uploads its recordings (one for Fajr, one for the other prayers). It becomes the alert sound for everyone who follows the mosque. ### How does a mosque update its times? From the imam’s phone: type the times, or photograph the clock board and the app reads it. Followers are told when the times change. See the guide for imams. ## Optional - [Sitemap](https://almasjidi.com/sitemap.xml): every page in every language and every public mosque page. - [Full text](https://almasjidi.com/llms-full.txt): this file plus every step of both guides and the committee page.
