Free · No ads · No sign-up needed

1Install and sign in

  1. Install AlMasjidi and open Settings → Account.
  2. Tap Continue with Google (or Apple). Managing a mosque needs an account; following one does not.

2Claim your mosque, at the mosque

  1. Many mosques are already listed. Find yours in Explore and select it.
  2. Go to the mosque. On Home, tap Mosque info, then Are you the admin? Claim this mosque, then I’m at the masjid.
  3. Your phone’s location confirms you are there: within 250 m of the mosque and accurate to 150 m. Step outside if the signal is weak. Fake-location apps must be off.
  4. If nobody manages the mosque yet, you manage it at once. If it already has admins, they approve your request; if they do not answer within 7 days, our team reviews it.

Tip: No ID card and no mosque documents are needed. Being at the mosque is the proof.

3Mosque not listed? Add it

  1. Stand at the mosque, open Explore and tap Mosque missing? Add it.
  2. Take a photo of the front of the mosque now, with the dome, minaret or entrance in view. A photo of the name board helps the app confirm the name.
  3. Enter the name and the full address: country, province, city, area and street.
  4. Tap Add mosque. If your location or the photo cannot be checked, tap Submit for manual verification: a person checks it and tells you by notification and e-mail.

Tip: Before you add, the app shows a checklist with example photos of what is accepted.

4Publish the prayer times

  1. Open Settings → Manage mosque → Mosques you manage, choose your mosque, then Set prayer times.
  2. For each prayer, enter the Azan, the Iqama (jamaat), or both. The board shows exactly what you enter.
  3. Faster: scan the clock board with the camera. Hold the phone straight and step closer until the board fills the box; the times are filled in for you to check.
  4. Set Effective from to a future date for winter, summer or Ramadan timings. Followers see the coming change, and the board switches on that day.
  5. Check the times with the imam and tap Publish. Every follower is told.

Tip: The app refuses impossible times, such as a Fajr after sunrise, and tells you the allowed range.

5Jumu’ah jamaats

  1. In Set prayer times, under Jumu’ah jamaats, add every jamaat your mosque holds, each with a label, an optional khutbah time and the iqama time.

6Print your QR poster

  1. Open Mosque info → Mosque QR poster and choose the paper size: A4 for any printer, A3 or A2 for a notice board.
  2. Print it and put it at the entrance and on the notice board.
  3. Anyone who scans it with AlMasjidi follows your mosque at once. Without the app, the code opens your mosque’s live timetable and the download link.

Tip: Announce it after Jumu’ah: “Scan the poster at the door to get our jamaat times on your phone.”

7Announcements and “Iqama started”

  1. In Manage, tap New announcement, write a title and a message and tap Publish to followers. It arrives as a notification.
  2. When the jamaat begins, tap Iqama started — notify now. Followers get an instant alert with a button to silence their phones.

8Upload your own azan

  1. In Manage, open Masjid azan and upload one recording for Fajr and one for the other prayers (MP3 or M4A, under 3 minutes).
  2. Followers hear your muezzin at prayer time unless they choose another sound.

9Mosque profile and team

  1. Cover photo: the picture at the top of your mosque’s page.
  2. Address & location: the full address, city and area, so people find you when they browse their area.
  3. Admins: who manages the mosque. Others ask to join by claiming at the mosque; you approve or decline them under Requests to help manage this masjid.

10Your mosque’s web page

  1. Every mosque has a page on almasjidi.com with its live timetable. Share it on WhatsApp, Facebook or your website; it opens in any browser, without the app.

Your first 3 days, and community trust

  • For your first 3 days as a new admin you can publish times and announcements, but you cannot upload an azan, and announcements cannot contain phone numbers, bank details or links.
  • If 3 long-time followers report a problem, a new admin is paused and their changes are rolled back while our team takes a look.
  • One person can manage up to 3 mosques; beyond that, our team decides.
  • The “Verified” badge is given by our team.
